Hard to tell.
One thing I'm pretty confident about: not without a major effort from
the community. Both Triode's implementation (and its descendents) as
well as the Radio/Touch firmware are using libspotify. This is a library
Spotify has deprecated years ago. I would bet it will not be able to
play those streams.
Which means we'd need something new. Now here's the problem: Spotify
wants you all-in. You want Spotify playback? You need a "Spotify
Connect" implementation. You want to control Spotify Connect? You need
Spotify's application. There's no official API or library to control
Spotify Connect.
Which leaves you with some reverse-engineered open source solution - if
you're lucky.
