My desktop just blew up so I am trying to run a fresh LMS 7.7.5 install on my old Win10 32bit laptop. The SB3s are wired to the router. Everything works fine if the laptop is also wired in. But if the laptop is connected wirelessly, then the SB3 sees the laptop's media server but fails to connect. Any idea why this might be? Everything else works fine on the laptop...

SB3 only connects to LMS when laptop is wired in, not wirelessly

LMS 7.9.0 not playing mp3 files
Hi,
hope someone can help me to point me into the right direction. I have the following setup:
* LMS 7.9.0 (updated yesterday, but same problem) installed on a debian server
* Client - Kodi Mediacenter based on Openelec with Squeezelite plugin (currently the only client)
* All music files are also stored at the debian server locally (using a raid5)
Everything is fine as long as a play flac files. When I try to play a mp3 file, nothing is played and LMS Log says:
Couldn't create command line for mp3 playback for........
The same mp3 file plays fine, when I use kodi for playback instead of squeezelite (which means playing the file through kodi without the involvement of LMS).
I tried to find answers on the net an this forum, but had no luck. Where should I start searching (which logs, etc.). Since I am rather new to LMS, I am not even sure, if this is a client or server problem. Are there any codecs missing, because of debian not providing it?
Thanks for your help,
Jobe

Plugin guide or add on apps?
Hi, first let me say thanks to everyone on this forum as I've fixed/improved a bunch of stuff by reading all this information. Second, just installed 7.9 with max2play. Works great! No on to the question.
OK, I'll just admit it, I can't really understand how do deal with play list. Here's what I'd like to do:
I'm in a band and we practice multiple times a week. As we work on songs, we record them and I store them in folders. All I really want to do is go to a play list, such as "Current Band Songs", remove a few entries and add a few entries (the new songs from the most recent practice). I don't see this as very different than other users wanting to add or remove songs. So, open the playlist, then go to my folder with the new songs, try to add them to the playlist, delete a few songs and save it. And what I get is some kind of new play list with only the new songs. It's just too complicated (yeah, I know you can add from the command line, but I don't think anyone actually does that). So, are there add on apps that just let you right click or drag and drop songs to a play list? Perhaps just let me right click an song, hover over 'add to playlist' see a list of playlist and drop it on there and have it be added (like Jriver?)
As a last resort, I'm now building playlist in Jriver. So easy! You just select songs, right click and add them to and existing play list and then add/delete songs with ease. You can even create new playlist from a group of songs with a few clicks. The only drawback is that I can't see any songs in my playlist. I opened Jriver, made a list, exported a standard .m3u file, went into squeezebox, scanned, then go to play list and see the list, but not the songs. So I'm a little stuck.
I'm looking for advice on a simple way to:
Create a playlist
Delete songs
Add songs
Thanks in advance for any help!

No, I've outlined this elsewhere: 7.9.1 will be mostly bug fixes only.
Any major changes would go to whatever will be next (7.10, 8.0, NG, ...).

If you're happy to get more than one update in three years, then you
should be safe running 7.9.1 if you wish. There might be a flurry of bug
fixes in the next weeks, as more people update to 7.9. But after that
it'll hopefully become quite quiet.

Playlists gone missing
Hi Folks been using LMS on Windows for ages together with a small family of Logitech Radios. I recently bought a Yamaha RX-A1060 Amp and although the Amp can 'see' the MP3s on my external drive and shows (and plays) them, the LMS display on the Amp DOESN'T show a heading for PLAYLISTS like the Radios although it DOES display 'artist', 'song', 'album' 'recent music', 'years' etc.
That surprised me! Does anyone know what I need to do so that LMS shows Playlists too?
Thanks
Steve

New 7.9 Settings link not working
Installed the new stable version of LMS. Thanks to all for their work effort.
I clicked on Settings to check out if the other web interface options had changed and chose one of them.
Not Standard, but one of the other two.
I didn't like it and wanted to test the other one, but now clicking on Settings just opens a new tab, but not the Settings window. The address I get is http://192.168.10.150:9000/settings/...04:20:22:eb:f9 and a white page.
Please advise.

Radio clock wrong after restarting raspberry Pi
This morning my Max2Play server was switched off by my cat stepping on the switch of the four way extension behind the TV. When I switched it back on the time was around three hours out on both of my Radios. Rebooting one of them corrected the time on that one but I left the other to see how long it would take to sync the time with the server.
It has now been 45 minutes and no change. How often does the Radio check the time with the server? If this somehow happened overnight and the cat managed to retrace his steps and restore power to the server my morning alarm would be scuppered.

LMS 7.9 firmware version?
I recently bought a used Duet off eBay, but have no idea which firmware version might be installed. The Duet I've had for years is updated to what is presumably the last official firmware (7.7), and has stayed there through to the current LMS version.
Am I correct in assuming that if the used unit I bought is on an older version than 7.7, LMS 7.9 will update it to the last official?

Album tag shows up as "ARRAY(0xd74c) - box" for a single flac file ..
Hi all,
I have a directory filled with flac files, all ripped by abcde from an original CD in a single session. All the files contain only vorbis tags, and all the files but one work fine. One, however, is showing in LMS and on-screen during playback with a bogus Album title as per above.
bad file Album field shows as: "ARRAY(0xd74c) - box"
good file Album field shows as: "Everything Counts / Live"
Obviously these show up as two separate albums in LMS as a side effect.

DLNA/Upnp Media Interface V1 not working in LMS 7.9
Hi all,
I`m struggeling to setup DLNA/Upnp within Squeezebox LMS. Did anybody get the DLNA/UPNP plugin up and running, it´s Upnp/DLNA Media Interface V1 from Andy Grundman. LMS 7.9 is installed in a docker, Unraid version is 6.3.2. I`m trying to stream some audio files from jRiver to one of my Squeezebox Touch, but no DLNA devices are shown in jRiver. Same within the Buble UPNP App in Android. Other UPnP devices (e.g. an Oppo blueray player) are listed in jRiver, but without LMS. Any idea is very much appreciated.

MyApps list is empty on Web UI after installing 7.9
Hello,
After installing Server 7.9.0-1488878280 on NAS Qnap TS-251, the My Apps list stayed empty on Web UI. I found in server log the line
When I clear login/password to mysqueezebox in settings, then the above log disappears, but then I can see only my local App (i.e. I see YouTube, but I have no access to Deezer).
There is no problem in 7.8 version and I see all Apps on Squezeeboxes and in phone application for both server version. You can say, I can use Deezer plugin from mobile or from SB menu, but I like Web UI :)
Could you give me any advice, what I should check? The above error looks like the error in error handler. I have no idea, where I can search the reason.

Is LMS v7.7.5 compatible with Windows 10?
Got a new Desktop PC to replace an old one with Windows Vista. Plan to use it for Squeezebox almost exclusively. 20K songs in one Folder on the new one, same as the old.
Downloaded LMS. Can't get Sqeezebox to recognize them all. Got about half.
Called phone support several times (what a joke), and the last guy I spoke with says LMS not compatible with Windows 10.
Is that true?
If someone on the forum would be willing to help me with this, I'd be very grateful.
Thanks,
