Hi all
I'm having trouble adding a particular podcast to the LMS podcast list. When I try to add the Accidental Tech Podcast URL (
http://atp.fm/episodes?format=rss) on the podcast setting screen, LMS doesn't respond (at all - my browser just waits indeterminately).
I've tried with different browsers (including an iPad) and different versions of LMS, including 7.9 and 7.8.1. I'm currently using the latest nightly 7.8.1 (Feb 1)
This is actually a long running issue - previously I could add the podcast but it wouldn't update the episode list after I originally added it (I had to delete and the re add to do this). Now, I simply can't add the URL at all.
Any thoughts welcome...

I've been trying to get my LMS (7.9) to play streamed mp3 files that are hosted on a local server using a Lets Encrypt SSL certificate. This is is being pushed from my home automation platform, Home Assistant. These files play just fine in my browser and other media players but LMS just won't do it.
My LMS is on
http://192.168.1.100:9000, my files are on
https://192.168.1.111:8123/local/file.mp3 they can also be reached at
https://example.duckdns.org/local/file.mp3. LMS acts like it's connecting but it won't play anything.
If I remove the certificate they play fine. The same method works fine for streaming to my Chromecasts using the same method, SSL or not. Anyone know why this won't work with LMS?
Also, I tried to debug this by running the from the command line on my Mac with --d_source --d_remotestream but I get no output. Are these debug commands depreciated?

Hitting big frustration, time suck and sadness not being able to play my music library and I'm hoping someone can assist me please!
I installed LMS on my new windows 10 machine using Music ip library as source of music data. I tried very hard to match all settings the same as old windows 7 machine. Worked great and much joy for one day then LMS stopped playing music! Scanner scans musicip library but does not find the files the musicip library points to on my NAS, reporting them as "file missing". "Media scan details" report shows the correct number of music files scanned corresponding to musicip library, it just doesn't find them. They are there and playback fine with other applications. Files are on NAS with assigned drive letter K and permission settings same as old machine. Squeezebox exe files all configured with same permissions as old machine as well. I performed one full uninstall of LMS and reinstalled with same problem/behavior afterwards. I've cleared cache and library numerous times and rescanned with no luck. Below are some portions of scan log. I'm believing I covered all my bases, maybe I missed something and someone can help me focus in? I'm not a tech pro, I've learned allot from trying to keep LMS and Musicip running over the years but there's plenty I could be missing here. I would be incredibly grateful for any assist!!

Hi,
I have LMS 7.9 running on a Fedora machine. As players I use a number of rpi running Max2play. This all works fine.
I can now control the players by various means:
- the LMS web interface
- iPeng
- the visualization of my domotics system (only on/off for the time being)
- extra functions on light switches (only on/off for the time being)
Obviously when I use the visualization or switches I know the status of the players in my domotics system as this is controlled by scripts that use the cli interface to the LMS server.
However, when I use iPeng or the web interface my domotics system has no notion of what is going on and thus the status of the players in the visualization is not correct.
So I wonder if it is possible for the LMS server to send an http request to the domotics server whenever the status of a player changes.
I could write a script on the domotics server to poll the status of the players on LMS but would rather not have to do that.
Thanks for any suggestion.

Hi,
I'm up to date with the latest Debian package of the server (7.9.0~1485931015). Recently, my daughter's radio has been occasionally stopping playout, then restarting itself after a few seconds.
I'm not sure if it's relevant, but I'm seeing lots and lots of these in the log:
Code:

Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks

If anyone*else is using Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge could they indicate if they are able to use LMS webpage?*If I try the initial web page renders fine but nothing is clickable. Its as if Edge isn't recognising the JavaScript on the page and interpreting it. I am on the Insider Preview build and I can't recall if this is an issue since the "Anniversary" update back in July. I have used the Feedback Hub to report the issue and if anyone else is so inclined please search for "Edge browser not working with JavaScript page", upvote and add any additional comment

I'm using Logitech Media Server 7.9 on a Banana Pi running a Bananian (Debian variant) and have the Spotify Family apps installed and working well. However I want to change the names from Spotify Family 1, Spotify Family 2, etc. so that we don't have to remember whose account is which number. Can anyone tell me what I'd have to do to achieve this?
Thanks.

Every time I look for current versions for download I struggle for a bit to find the location. I suggested in one thread that these be posted somewhere (this forum would be good) as a sticky with a name that was self-explanatory. That did generate the following as a response:
http://downloads.slimdevices.com
or for the betas
http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/
Perhaps, Michael, you could create a sticky with this information so that it was more readily findable.

I have set the alarm that it uses the existing playlist (random off) to play when the time is right. Also set to use fade in when it starts.
But I noticed this does not work.
Any suggestions?

Hi,
i have a very annoying Problem with current 7.9 nightlies - after between 24 and 48 hours after restart LMS just quits working, WebUI does not respond anymore, players can't connect anymore, remote-contol apps like iPeng are not able to connect to the server anymore. When the issue happens the only way to revive LMS ist to restart the service.
Two days ago I completely wiped LMS from my Windows 2012R2 Server and started all over again - only to see the issue returning after 30 hours of running.
Attached is the complete log from my server with Default logging Settings - hope anyone can see what the issue is. One of my Kids complained at 19:40 yesterday and there are some entries in the log at that time.
As said, I'm running LMS 7.9 nigthtly ((v7.9.0, 1485931015, Wed Feb 1 06:44:25 CUT 2017) perl 5.014001 - MSWin32-x86-multi-thread) on Windows Server 2012R2, Firewall completely disabled.
Any hints for me - please, I'm desperate! LMS 7.9 worked flawlessly for years, the described issue appeared a couple of months ago.
Best regards,
Florian

This can happen if the log configuration file gets corrupted. Just
delete it while LMS is stopped. You'll find it in the prefs folder as
shown in Settings/Information.

I am running LMS 7.8.0 on a Win7 box. There are up to 12 players, some connected by WiFi others wired, normally only 3-4 are on. The system is used on a boat which rarely has internet connection. Everything was working fine until a week or two ago when it randomly stops playing, sometimes after one or two songs at other times after more. It will stop mid song. I can restart it by pressing play again. I have rescanned and deleted the cache. I have turned off all Plugins. Attached is the server.log.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,

So what I'm trying to do is the following:
- Every morning @ 7am, play NPR. (solved)
- At 8am, play the previous playlist that was there prior to NPR
I've tried searching but I wasnt sure what search string I should be using. I've tried using .../status.html but that only displays.
So how do I use CLI within Autosqueeze to store the current playlist variable in Tasker?
Thanks!

The token is removed from the log file as it is considered sensitive
data. There's no error message? Neither in the log file nor on the player?

Please go to Settings/Advanced/Logging (Préférences/Avancé/Journal?),
set plugin.qobuz to debug and try again. Then uplod the server.log file

Hi,
I am trying to solve two issues:
1. Stream Quboz (flac) to my Sonore microRendu via LMS as PCM; and
2. Stream my local (NAS) 24/192 WAV files.
In my system I find that PCM sounds better than flac. This is fine for my local files as they are all WAV and stream as such. Quboz are flac files, I have not found a setting through the config that streams them as PCM. I believe I will need to do a custom-config.conf file, but I have not found an entry on the forum that will do this.
I have a number of 24/192 WAV files. If I try and stream them they play like 45s being played at 33. I do not think this is an issue with the microRendu as I can stream them with no problems via upnp.
LMS is running on my Synology 1812+ 3GB RAM.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hello,
some years ago I played with the KidsPlay plugin and extended it a bit. It is executing macros consisting of CLI commands. Now I wanted to quickly add a KidsPlay macro that opens up a music folder and displays the content on the Radio menu. The user should then be able to select one of the shown tracks.
I can do that manually by selecting "Eigene Musik/Musikordner/" (in english: Own Music/Music folder) and selecting the desired folder from the menu. But I want to jump directly to some folder using CLI commands and have not found out how to achive that.
Is this possible at all?

> May I propose this as a change request :)
No. You've already mentioned the can of worms in another thread. This
would just be another one: I only want the playlist artwork when there's
none in the track. I always want the playlist artwork. Track artwork
should override the playlist artwork. Can the playlist artwork be a
collage of four random tracks?

Interesting, as some of the strings were using "met" rather than "naar".
I changed the string accordingly. Please check out the next nightly
