I use random mix almost exclusively. Have been for 10 years. It's what I like best about LMS. My personal music collection makes the greatest radio station of all time.
A number of years ago I started using Squeezy and cron to automate the music in my house.
About a month ago I noticed the my Random Mix genres had reset to only two selections. Usually it's around 8 genres out of 30 +/-.
I select and save my preferred genres and everything is fine until the next day.
The cron job turns players on and off at predetermined times.
Also certain playlists are programmed to start before bedtime, classical for the wife, Early morning a playlist for smooth jazz starts early in the morning.
10:00 am random kicks off for the rest of the day.
This has worked flawlessly until about a month ago. All players, functions, and volume settings continue to work as scheduled and expected. The only issue is the genre choices get changed to only two selections, it's always the same two, instead of the selected and saved choices. There is no reason for these to change. Except Christmas when I add the xmas genre.
It's not 100% everyday but 4 out of 5 maybe higher.
I've stopped and started LMS numerous times. It hasn't helped.
It's easy enough to change but it bugs me that after years of flawless execution I now have to intervene.
