That's pretty old for a 7.9. I did indeed add some code to later 7.9
which does deal with the kind of Spotify URIs.

Triode's plugin has seen some issues recently due to changes on
Spotify's end. And I'm not even sure it was ever able to handle this
kind of URI?
I tested it using the latest 7.9 plus my Spotify Handler plugin (which
is a stripped down version of Triode's). And it played the list correctly.
